One of a kind and absolutely perfect Bob Loveless, Guthook Skinner Knife. Made in the Lawndale shop in 1970 with a stag handle, this guthook skinner is shop number #70-403. The knife and the sheath are flawless.
In the 60's and early 70's Bob had moved to California and committed to knife-making in his small Lawndale shop by himself, working on refining his craft and struggling to make a living. This rare and beautiful knife is one of his best ever and comes from this period.
This knife features a hidden tang construction, brass finger guard, finger grip stag handle, with beautiful black and red spacers. This knife could be the most important, pivotal piece in any R.W.Loveless collection. It is a treasure of an American craftsman, a piece of working art by the absolute greatest knifemaker ever.
