Steve Johnson (S.R.) was working for Bob Loveless for many years and clearly learned a lot. This knife is called a general-purpose utility knife, but as you can see it is anything but that. This knife has an overall length of eight inches and a blade length of 3-7/8 inches. This Sambar Stag is an unbelievable presentation-grade knife and is perfectly matched.
The fit and finish of the knife is highlighted by a beautifully deep engraving by Bill Bates. The en-graving shows a bald eagle on one side and Oak leaves on the opposite side. The gold inlay brings out the engraving on the bolster as well as on the pins. Steve Johnson is well known for quality knives and this is one of the finest examples of his art.
